Study: Hispanics Are Ideal Online Consumers

hispaniconcomputer-bHispanics are the ideal online consumers, which is meaningful because 30 million Hispanics -- or 60% of the U.S. Hispanic population -- are online, and according to comScore, the so-called "digital divide" between Hispanics and everyone else is pretty much defunct.

A new study from comScore, commissioned by Terra -- a Spanish-language media network -- suggests that Hispanics are more active online and more receptive to new technology than non-Hispanics. The research also says the Internet is the main media source of information for Hispanics in terms of services and products.

The study finds that regardless of whether marketing is in-language or not, if it's relevant it will have a more significant influence on Hispanics than non-Hispanics. "While non-Hispanics may tend to look at interactive advertising as intrusive, Hispanics seem to be appreciative of the brands that are trying to reach out to them," per the study.

In the survey of 2,300 Hispanic consumers conducted in fall 2010, 37% of Hispanics versus 30% of non-Hispanics said they would respond to online pitches, and 35% of Hispanics vs. 27% of non-Hispanics said they are more open to advertising on sites where they read or contribute user-generated comments.

Apple unveils iPhone 4 and renames iPhone OS4

Steve Jobs has taken to the stage at World Wide Developers Conference 2010 and unveiled the iPhone 4.

“The iPhone 4 is one of the most beautiful designs you've ever seen. Beyond a doubt one of the most beautiful and precise things we've ever made", crowed Jobs.

The iPhone 4 stars a 3.5 inch display of 960x640 pixels, incorporating a retina display which increases the pixel density by x4, resulting in a display of 326 pixels per inch. Human perception can only distinguish 300 pixels per inch, "so everything will look like continuous curves to the eye" according to Jobs.
Connectivity is Quad band hspda/hsupa, giving a potential 7.2mbps down, 5.8 up. A 802.11n Wi-Fi chip will provide blistering speeds when in range.

Other industry sources are hinting that Apple will source as much as 65 million display panels for the iPad 3 in the coming time. This shows how much Apple believes in the iPad 3 and they are highly optimistic that the iPad 3 will be an instant hit. Two of the unknown sources were of the opinion that the iPad 3 will come out with a quad core processor which will take the iPad experience to an all new level.

Some facilities in China are operating 24 hours a day and the production has seriously got a shot in the arm from the start of this month. China’s Lunar year is going to be celebrated this month and the production will be held up for that time.
